INCREDIBLE sushi. Melts in your mouth. Tarantula maki roll: 5/5 (must try) Godzilla maki roll: 4/5 Smaller restaurant, low lit, date night vibes. Service was awesome!!!

I stopped in on a whim during a weekday afternoon and was seated immediately. I was recommended to try the Staycation cocktail by the hostess and i originally thought she suggested it because it's the most expensive drink on the menu, but it was actually really strong and delicious. I was torn on what roll to get (I almost wish they had more options, even though there's already a decent selection) and settled on the crispy maguro roll. It was fresh, spicy, and more flavorful than it looks. I think I would order it again. The ambiance was very relaxing, quiet, and the servers were attentive. This is a solid place to grab sushi, I just wish it wasn't so pricey ($50 for one roll and one cocktail after tax & tip). A happy hour menu might help them gain even more customers.

First time to Sushi Dokku and I already can't wait to go back to try more menu items! Their restaurant week menu provided a lovely array of dishes, from gourmet dressed nigiri to rolls that satisfied every taste bud. The staff was also super attentive and food came out quick! Food reviews: Somethin spicy--I'll be dreaming about this drink. It definitely packs a spicy punch, but it compliments the food perfectly Tofu salad--super well balanced and flavorful! Nigiri--favorite was the hamachi! Truffle tuna was #2. Aji was very ginger forward for such a small bite Truffle hamachi roll--another absolute standout. The crispness on the outside gives the bite a wonderful texture that's so unique. Great quality ingredients throughout Salmon--perfect cook. Melt in your mouth good Black sesame ice cream--perfect bite to end the meal. Sweet and savory

This was the best service we have received during this visit. Had a great time! I prefer to sit downstairs as upstairs is very close to other tables and quite loud. I opted in for the $45 restaurant week dinner. The cucumber tofu salad to start was refreshing. I also ordered oyster shooters and this were great, had a sesame flavor which I loved. I then got the tuna truffle, hamachi and sake nigiri. Tuna truffle is always my favorite. The hamachi used to have a mustard sauce on it that really took away from the fish, and it seems they took it off which made this so much better!! The truffle hamachi roll was great, very fresh. I got strip steak also. This was rolled in green onion. It was very overpowered by the green onion. Once I unwrapped it tasted great by itself. There was about whole bunch of green onion in the steak. For dessert I had the black sesame ice cream. The waffle crisp it came with was fantastic.

Wow wow wow best customer service ever!!!! I've been to sushi dokku a few times now, but my most recent experience was the best customer service I've ever received! We went during restaurant week, so it was packed in there. Our server was super busy & forgot to bring over a few things we asked for which was no big deal. I asked the host instead & he was very apologetic and quick to bring us what we needed. Next, they were out of the entree I wanted from the restaurant week menu & were VERY accommodating to bring me something else that wasn't on the restaurant week menu. Last, the host asked us to get up from our table shortly after paying because other people were waiting to be sat (totally understandable, we were happy to get up). To make up for it, the host offered to buy us a round of drinks downstairs in booze box which was just soooo nice and not necessary at all because we really didn't mind getting up from our table. The whole night they really went above and beyond for us and on top of all of that the food was AMAZING (as always)!! Cannot wait to go back !!!!!!
